Today was a day!
We started out by going to get me a sim card and phone and trying to get me some new boots. But we couldn't find any boots that I loved and for $90+ I'm going to have to love any boots I buy. Plus, winter is coming to an end so I shouldn't really need water proof boots. My winter boots are water resistant. So we just gave up on the boots search. But I did get a little XPeria phone. I'll put up a pic later. It is tiny though. It is about the size of my palm.
I also talked to me today about what she wants the regular plan to be now. She commented on the fact that I obviously didn't have experience teaching young children English. In my brain, I was like "If you wanted that, you should've hired a Governess not an Au Pair. Just Saying." But she didn't seem angry or like I had fooled them so, I just said nothing and told her she was right. Because I don't have experience teaching young kids English. She thinks they need structure but, the real problem is that they won't speak English in front of their parents. The kids are actually picking up words. And while N doesn't necessarily know what they are, A does. But it is okay. I wants to set aside an hour specifically for English study and she will study with the kids too. They behave better for her anyway. So, we'll have an hour a day to study English then about 5 to six hours of play. Then I get to chill and study Russian and I said she would check my work and answer any questions I have and chat with me in Russian.
They were just finishing everything up in my little house yesterday when they realized that the fridge doesn't fit so, hopefully I'll move in today? Honestly though it is fine because I can't go to the market until Saturday so, I'll have to keep coming to the house for food anyway.
Today N did the cutest thing. We were playing with chalk and a chalk board and of course she got chalk on her hands. So since she noticed the eraser cleaned chalk off the board, she tried to use it to clean her hand. I told her it was a nice thought, too bad it didn't work.
